Elder Ronald A. Rasband was referred to as to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Oct. 3, 2015. Born on Feb. 6, 1951, in Salt Lake Metropolis, he served as a younger full-time missionary within the Jap States Mission and attended the College of Utah. He married Melanie Twitchell in 1973. They’re the dad and mom of 5 kids.

In 1976, he joined Huntsman Container Firm as gross sales consultant, and in 1987, he was appointed president and chief working officer of Huntsman Chemical Company. He presided over the New York New York North Mission from 1996 to 1999.

Previous to his name as an Apostle, Elder Rasband served as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy. He served as a counselor within the Europe Central Space Presidency, president of the Utah Salt Lake Metropolis Space, govt director of the Temple Division; and supervised the North America West, Northwest, and three Utah areas as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy.
