The Iditarod continues to be the most important and hottest canine sled race on the planet because it enters its 52nd yr of competitors.
“The Last Great Race on Earth” takes place in Alaska every year, as one musher and a crew of 12-14 dogs race from Anchorage to Nome over a mean of 8-15 days.
In order to qualify as a finisher, the musher wants at least five dogs pulling the sled throughout the end line.
