Cold or hot blooded? This little brown snake was no match for the intense Bungarra it satisfied on a Western Australian verandah.
The video footage, recorded by Charles Sturt University research study ecologist Richard McLellan, reveals the 2 small reptiles squaring off versus each other on a ubiquitous tiled Aussie verandah.
The toxic snake lands a couple of blows, insufficient to stop the Bungarra from securing the snake’s neck and tossing it around.
The Bungarra came out as champ, ultimately swallowing it entire – head initially, Mr McLellan said in the Twitter post.
“The Bungarra killed it, then swallowed it head first, right in front of our eyes,” Mr McLellan informed ABC Midwest.
“Mind-boggling how it got it all the way down before waddling off,” he said.
Mr McLellan captured the death match while consuming lunch in his Geraldton home and stopped making a coffee to movie the fracas.
