‘Cannibal snake’ swallows another snake headfirst in front of horrified beachgoers in Binningup, WA

Shocking video footage reveals the minute one snake consumed another on a beach in Western Australia.

Cody Green, who shot the snakes, was delighting in a summer season night at Binningup beach in late February.

As he unwinded, a set of reptiles came rolling down the bank, stopping straight in front of him. 

At initially, he presumed the snakes were breeding, nevertheless he rapidly understood one, a metre-long dugite, was consuming the other.

A shocked Mr Green instantly took out his phone and started shooting the animals. 

In the video footage, the dominant snake squashes its victim, who attempts to twitch away fruitless. 

The dugite traps the other snake prior to swallowing its head.

According to the Australian Museum, dugites are understood to be cannibalistic in the wild.

Some can even swallow snakes almost as big as themselves.

They utilize both venom and tightness to suppress its victim. 

The snake would take 3 to 5 days to absorb its cannibalistic meal. 

Mr Green said it was the very first time he had actually seen a snake consume another and he was enjoyed record the video footage.
