A lady was captured attempting to bring 5 snakes into China after customizeds officers observed her body had an odd shape.

On June 29, customizeds officers discovered a female had actually packed 5 snakes into stockings and tucked them into her bra, according to a report by the Hong Kong paper South China Morning Post, mentioning a post by the China Customs main account on WeChat, a popular messaging app in China.

The female, who was not determined in the post, was discovered smuggling the snakes at Futian Port in Shenzhen, per the post by China Customs. Shenzhen is a city in southeastern China that borders Hong Kong. Customs officers took the snakes and handed them over to authorities.

In the post, China Customs said all 5 snakes were corn snakes, which are belonging to northeastern and main parts of the United States. The post did not state whether the female deals with repercussions for bring the snakes into China.

As of 2017, some 1 million individuals in China owned unique animals, however the guidelines are made complex when it pertains to carrying these animals.

Transporting animals in and out of China undergoes quarantine examination by authorities, according to China’s laws for the entry and exit of animal and plant quarantine.

China’s increasing interest in unique animals indicates snake farms in the nation are expanding. Deqing, a county in eastern China, is called among the snake farming capitals of the world.
