At least 3 trainees consisting of 2 women passed away after being bitten by a toxic snake at a personal hostel run by a training centre in Odisha’s Keonjhar district, authorities said on Sunday.
The event occurred on Saturday night when 4 trainees, all minors, were sleeping on the flooring in the training centre hostel at Nischintapur town in the Baria location of Keonjhar district, the authorities said.

All 4 trainees were hurried to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Keonjhar, where 3 of the trainees were stated dead. Another trainee, who remained in a vital condition, has actually been moved to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for much better treatment, authorities said.
The deceased were recognized as Raja Nayak (12), Shehashree Nayak (11) and Elina Nayak (12), while Akash Nayak (12) is going through treatment at Cuttack, authorities said.
