The slithery surprise was discovered Wednesday early morning, July 12, in Columbia County, inside a business in the city of Hudson on Fairview Avenue.
“Does this little guy look familiar to you?” the Hudson Police Department asked on Facebook.
The department determined the orange snake as a boa constrictor, though many individuals in the remarks explained that it might in fact be a corn snake.
The types is usually discovered throughout the southeastern and main United States.
“Certain he’s a corn snake,” one commenter composed. “Looks hungry too.”
While the remark area was filled with its share of antipathy, not everybody was earned out by the unforeseen visitor.
“What a cutie!” Stacie Cole, of Greenport in Suffolk County, said.
“Beautiful. I hope he finds a good home,” included Mary Anne Perez.
Saratoga County’s Lindsey McKinney, nevertheless, was not rather as inviting.
“That’s a nope rope for me,” she said.
It was not right away clear if the snake had actually kept a lawyer.
