Horizon House of Illinois Valley in Peru is requesting involvement in assisting grow their snake of painted rocks, Frank the Snake.
“Our wonderful employees are always looking for new and unique activities for the people they support and this one really seemed to spark some interest,” said Carol Fesco, director of advancement at Horizon House of Illinois Valley, including the concept originated from direct assistance experts that operate at among the 10 neighborhood incorporated living plan houses Horizon House runs.
The snake, which is being kept off-site, has to do with 10 inches long and the objective is to have it reach 30 feet by Tuesday, Aug. 15.
“Although, we would have no problem if it grows much longer than that,” Fesco included.
Those wanting to take part are asked to drop their painted rocks at Horizon House’s primary workplace, 2000 Plank Road, Peru. Horizon House is a not-for-profit organization that supplies services and supports individuals with impairments and their households.
