An extremely poisonous sea snake has actually cleaned up on the Queensland Sunshine Coast. On Tuesday, early morning walkers were welcomed by the huge snake on the beach. The beach walkers experienced the snake on Sunshine Beach.
The beachgoers informed Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 that the snake remained in poor condition.
Stewart McKenzie informed News.com.au, “It was certainly weak, it had a huge injury to its side like something had actually taken a piece out of it.”
Mr McKenzie was not sure if the snake might be saved, so it was carried to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital.
The huge sea snake is approximated to be a minimum of ten years old and weighed in between 2-4 kilos and was simply over a metre in length.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 in a Facebook post alerted beach walkers not to touch the snake. “DO NOT attempt and get the sea snake and put it back in the ocean. Sea Snakes are extremely poisonous and need to just be managed by specialists.”
The snake catchers in a follow-up post notified that the snake is a Stokes Sea Snake.
In another post, it notified that the Stokes Sea snake might not make it. “It had a bad injury and didn’t have much energy left when it reached the Wildlife Hospital. At least it’s not in discomfort any longer.”
