The canine, stated by police to be a ‘bulldog kind’ breed, has been secured. Parts of the street remained closed late on Saturday, with members of the general public suggested to keep away from the world.
A Police Scotland spokesperson advised native media: “We acquired a report of a giant bulldog kind canine having attacked a lady within the McConnel Street space of Kelloholm round 6.25pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Emergency providers attended and a lady has been taken to Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary for remedy for severe accidents. Officers stay in attendance and the canine has been secured.
