RESIDENTS on the Costa del Sol have taken to social media to warn of sausages containing needles being left on a dog-walking route.
The sabotaged treats are meant to injure or fatally wound the dogs who eat them.
They have been noticed on the seashore entrance walkway in Rincon de la Victoria and have already precipitated pets to be rushed to vets, in keeping with sources quoted by the EFE information company.
They added that there have been a number of circumstances and that in a few of them it was doable to extract the needle.

The sausages have been swallowed by the dogs on the La Cala del Moral promenade after being left there a couple of days in the past.
