LINCOLN, R.I. – A Hopkinton, Massachusetts female is dealing with charges after authorities state a dog passed away in her car outside Bally’s Twin River Casino in Rhode Island.
Young Ju Seol was apprehended and charged with one count of harmful injury or killing of animals, and one count of animal confinement in automobile, Lincoln authorities said.
Officers reacted to the gambling establishment at about 7 p.m. on Friday after security discovered a car “with heavy condensation on the windows and the brake lights triggered.” Police entered into the car and discovered a dead dog on the driver’s side flooring.
Seol concerned the scene and informed officers that was her car, authorities said. It’s thought the dog was left in the car “for numerous hours without water or cooling.” The windows were closed and the temperature level exterior was near 80 degrees, authorities said.
“The killing of unprotected animals in such a terrible way is undesirable and will not be endured by our firm,” authorities said in a declaration.
