Taipei, April 19 (CNA) “Jaguar,” a 9-month-old canine, may quickly change into Taiwan’s first police canine of an indigenous breed.

According to Ma Ching-chi (馬清基), head of the K-9 unit underneath New Taipei Police’s Criminal Investigation Corps, Jaguar is at present being skilled to detect explosives similar to gunpowder and C-4.

Ma informed CNA on Thursday that that is the primary try in Taiwan to coach a Taiwan Dog, often known as the Formosan Mountain Dog, to change into a police canine.
