COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV/Gray News) – In simply 10 weeks of life, a French bulldog puppy has gone from homeless and alone on the streets to serving to his new mother and pa get engaged.
Jason Stolz, who works in adoption companies on the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, had been attempting to determine how one can suggest to his longtime girlfriend, Julia Proper, for the final 12 months. I figured it would just be the cutest way to propose because both me and Julia have a really big love for all animals.”
Because of Banjo’s young age, Stolz needed to wait two weeks to deliver him home. He used that point to safe a “yes” for query primary: would Proper comply with the adoption?
“He was texting me while I was at work, just sending me photo after photo: ‘Here’s this puppy. He’s really cute. I need him.’ And I’m just like, ‘OK,’” Proper stated.
With that “yes” in hand, Stolz began planning for the all-important second query.
“I went and got his tag engraved with the ‘Will you marry me?’ and I was hiding it around in my work backpack for about a whole week, hoping she wouldn’t find it,” Stolz stated.
At 8 weeks old, Banjo was old sufficient to be adopted … and assist facilitate this proposal!
“The second he was 8 weeks, we picked him up,” Proper stated. “Jason was like, ‘I want to be the one to bring him home,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.’”

This is a dream.’ And then, I flip round, and I’m identical to, ‘Oh, this is actually happening,” Proper said.
“I was behind her on one knee,” Stolz said.
Proper said yes when he popped the question, and the couple celebrated with a kiss.
“I started crying. I was speechless,” Proper said.
“I just felt a lot of joy, like everything was right in the world,” Stolz said.
After the proposal, the couple called everyone they knew then cuddled in bed with their new puppy.
Proper says they’re tentatively planning for a marriage subsequent 12 months – with Banjo as a hoop bearer.
