Police are interesting for data after a sheep was killed in a suspected canine attack in Flintshire. It comes after a German Shepherd was seen roaming across the Gwespyr and Llanasa areas. The canine was later caught by animal rescue employees.

A North Wales Police assertion mentioned: “We are interesting for data after a canine is believed to have attacked and killed a sheep in Flintshire.

“A German Shepherd canine was seen to be roaming wild within the space of Gwespyr, Llanasa, from Thursday, April eleventh till it was captured by animal rescue employees on Saturday, April thirteenth.

“During that point, a farmer found considered one of their ewes had been killed in the identical space the canine was seen, and one other two of their lambs are lacking.”

PC Ian Nicholls said: “Anyone with any information about the owner of the animal is asked to contact us at the earliest opportunity, using reference number 24000337321.

“Sheep worrying is a criminal offence. Allowing dogs to be out of control around livestock is an offence, even if no injury occurs.

“Not only do sheep worrying incidents and livestock attacks inflict suffering and distress on the animals, but the impact also has a devastating effect for the farming group, each financially and mentally.”
