Police have issued an update after a “pretty and pleased” canine was mauled to dying in a Merseyside park.
May Barton was walking her twin sister, Edna Walker’s canine in Derby Park, Bootle on the afternoon of Friday, March 22, a part of her regular route. It was right here that niece, Tracey Walker says one-year-old Cavapoo, Timmy was viciously attacked by what they suppose could have been a “Pitbull cross”.
The 53-year-old stated Timmy was left with a punctured abdomen which in the end led to his dying. She advised the ECHO: “My auntie takes Timmy on the identical route with the identical folks each day. The different canine got here from nowhere and he or she tried to drag it off.

“The proprietor ran off with their canine and Timmy began to run off out the park to go home. She ran after him however he was in a nasty means with a punctured abdomen. She took him to the vet however they stated they could not do something extra for him.”
Now, Merseyside Police have spoken out, confirming that enquiries are ongoing to establish the proprietor of the Pitbull-type canine and the circumstances of the incident, which they have been known as to at round 1.35pm.
Tracey’s mum is reportedly “devastated” after the incident. Her daughter stated Timmy was cherished by the group. She stated: “He was a fantastic pleasant little factor. He was pretty and pleased and everybody knew and cherished him. It’s so unhappy, folks will say ‘it is solely a canine’ however we get hooked up to them.
“My mum is inconsolable. What if a toddler had been round?”
