A charity has issued a passionate plea to canine house owners after 10 puppies have been discovered dumped within the garbage in Auckland final week.

Four of the puppies — Marty, Mabel, Maggie and Meg — have died whereas there are considerations for a fifth, Max.

Janine Hinton, co-founder of the Saving Hope Foundation, advised 1News the puppies have been present in a tied-up cloth buying bag by a garbage truck driver, doing her spherical within the Papakura and Hunua space final week.
