COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio cops company shared records Tuesday that revealed an officer who launched his cops dog on a giving up truck driver was consistently informed not to keep speaking about the occurrence prior to he was fired recently.
Records supplied to The Associated Press by the Circleville Police Department showed Officer Ryan Speakman fulfilled two times with Chief Shawn Baer to talk about reports of Speakman weeping, speaking to staff members, households and K-9 fitness instructors and displaying stress-related habits after the July 4 occurrence.
The Circleville Police Department fired Officer Speakman last weekdeclaring that he “did not meet the standards and expectations we hold for our police officers.”

The body camera video shows Speakman holding back the dog, and a trooper can be heard off-camera repeatedly yelling, “Do not release the dog with his hands up!” However, Speakman released the dog and it can be seen in the video assaulting Rose, who said, “Get it off! Please! Please!”
Rose was dealt with at a medical facility for dog bites.
