Watson was given up to the Denver Animal Shelter recently after the animal significantly bit a kid in the face. When he was given up, it was explained to the owner that this was an irreversible choice. Denver Animal Protection is charged with securing both the safety of individuals and animals in our neighborhood. Because of the intensity of this bite and the history that his owner divulged to us upon surrender – he has actually bitten the exact same kid in the face previously – we are carefully examining whether it is safe to launch him back into the neighborhood. We take this choice extremely seriously and will act in the very best interest of our neighborhood.
