A funeral for a cops dog who passed away after consuming drugs throughout a search is being kept in Woodstock today.
Woodstock cops state Taz and another dog, Striker, were deployed as part of a drug investigation on July 7 when both appeared to consume drugs. Narcan was administered and both dogs were hurried to a veterinary center. Striker endured, however Taz did not.
Starting at 11 a.m., a procession including lots of cops dogs and their handlers, horses, and cops workers marched down Finkle Street to the Reeves Community Complex where a personal service will be held.
According to Woodstock cops, Taz started training with the service in 2021 and was formally released in 2015.
