A canine walker charged with animal cruelty in Medford, Massachusetts, is anticipated to look in courtroom Monday.
Officers responded to Fellsway West and Sheridan Avenue at about 11 a.m. Sunday for a report of animal abuse, Medford police mentioned.
Witnesses reported seeing a person who was walking a bunch of dogs strike one in every of them repeatedly within the head after which raise the canine off the bottom by its collar “in a dangerous method,” in response to police.
Police mentioned one witness even bought video of the alleged animal abuse and shared it with them.
Subsequent movies confirmed the canine walker yelling racial slurs at a person who confronted him about his therapy of the dogs in his care.
Officers had been in a position to establish the canine walker as 33-year-old Frederick Ingrando of Medford. He was arrested at his home.
Ingrando was a supplier on the pet care providers app “Rover.”
In a press release to NBC10 Boston Sunday, a spokesperson for Rover mentioned partially, “We had been shocked and disturbed to study of this abhorrent conduct — there may be zero tolerance for this kind of therapy of pets in our neighborhood. Upon studying of those allegations, our 24/7 Trust and Safety Team suspended the pet care supplier’s account and is conducting a full investigation.”
The spokesperson mentioned they may help regulation enforcement with this investigation in any manner they will.
Ingrando is scheduled to be arraigned at Somerville District Court Monday.
