A person has been charged after a Spaniel died in an alleged canine attack involving two ‘oversized Bullies‘ at a Scots park.
It’s believed the six-year-old canine was being walked by its proprietor when it was attacked by the unmuzzled canines, who’re believed to be XL Bullies, in Braemar Park in Dunblane at round 1.40pm on Monday, March 11. It is known the pet was rushed to a close-by vet however couldn’t be saved.
Officers investigating the incident confirmed they traced the 2 dogs concerned. One has been euthanised and the opposite has been taken into safe kennels.
A 20-year-old man has been charged in reference to an offence in relation to the Dangerous Dogs Act.
A Police Scotland assertion reads: “A 20-year-old man has been charged following an incident the place two dogs attacked a spaniel, which subsequently died, within the Braemar Park space of Dunblane on Monday, 11 March, 2024. Both dogs concerned have now been traced. One has been euthanised and the opposite has been taken into safe kennels.
“The man was charged with an offence in relation to the Dangerous Dogs Act and a report shall be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. We thank the general public for his or her assist in relation to this inquiry.”
