In a surprising incident of animal cruelty in Pimpri Chinchwad, a shopkeeper assaulted a puppy utilizing an iron rod on Thursday. The video of the incident went viral on social media. As per the data, the incident took place at roughly 5:30pm on April 18 on Link Road in Pimpri space.
Meanwhile, a person named Hitesh Jaypal Kundnani, a resident of Link Road aged 34, lodged a grievance with the Pimpri Police Station towards the person. As per the grievance, cops filed a case towards a person recognized as Gupta below varied sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act of 1960. Gupta is round 55 years old and resides in Pradhikaran however he’s but to be arrested now.
The video which went viral reveals Gupta hitting the puppy with an iron rod. As per the data shared by Pimpri police, the accused has a store on the Link Road in Pimpri and the puppy was wandering close to it. When it did not go away even after shooing it away, Gupta allegedly resorted to beating it with an iron rod.
The puppy was injured to the extent that resulted in fractures and it grew to become unconscious. Kundnani recorded the incident, supplied support to the puppy, and admitted it to a hospital in Wakad. Subsequently, he lodged a proper grievance with the Pimpri Police.
