A man who was discovered with 4 Collie puppies in his car was prosecuted at Naas District Court was prohibited from keeping animals for 5 years.
Anthony Stokes, 24, whose address was offered as 5 Carton Terrace, Poppintree, Ballymun, Dublin 11, was prior to the court for a breach of the Animal Health and Welfare Act.

Garda Conor McCarthy said they were given a veterinarian who considered them to be badly taken care of.
He included that the veterinarian expense totaled up to €800.
The puppies were later on homed through the My Lovely Horse animal rescue charity.
