Keswick Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) members were called out to help the trio who followed the high course past the white-painted Bishop rock.
It was at this point that they reached a point listed below Slape Crag where they were not able to climb up any more and were ‘really not happy’ about coming down the method they had actually shown up, a KMRT representative said.
They included: “Very smartly, they called for help.
“A small team was dispatched to short rope them and escort their totally unfazed dog down the steep slopes.”
KMRT released 8 employee for the one-hour and 34-minute callout.
