Police are on the hunt for a van driver after a kid was struck and a dog killed in a hit-and-run in the Scottish Highlands.
The occurrence taken place in Lochaber on the A830 Fort William to Mallaig roadway in between 9.30am and 9.35am on Saturday.
Investigating officers said a white van taking a trip west struck a dog which was being strolled on a lead at the side of the roadway. The vehicle likewise reached a kid.
The animal passed away at the scene however the kid was unscathed, Police Scotland said.
