ELMWOOD, Ohio (WXIX) – An Elmwood lady is dealing with a felony charge of animal cruelty after Hamilton County Dog Wardens state she beat a dog so severely its skull was shattered in 5 locations.
Wardens were sent to Kaliah Boykins’s home on June 6 after county dispatch got a call about the dog.
The dog, called Brownie, eventually passed away from its injuries.
Wardens state Boykins confessed to them that she assaulted the dog.
Boykins is formally charged with restrictions worrying buddy animals, according to the wardens.
