Good Morning Britain speaker Sean Fletcher has actually said he is “heartbroken” as he revealed the death of his family dog.
The speaker, 49, required to Instagram to share the sad news that their dog Meg had actually passed away after being struck by a car after leaving from their house.
Sean, who shares two children with his wife Luned Tonderai, shared how losing Meg has actually been among the most tough things he’s gone through as he thanked his coworkers at ITV for their assistance after he needed to go on air after learning the heartbreaking news.
The star started his message: “I am sad. My beautiful dog #Meg left our house, we believe going after a fox. She was struck by a car and passed away. We are all absolutely ravaged.
“She had been moved from the side of the road and placed by a tree with a small blanket covering her. Thanks to the person who did that. I don’t know who you are but you need to know that what you did made it easier for my wife and children when they found her.”
He then went on to share some happy memories of Meg and the family, as he composed: “I invested a lot time with Meg as I work from home a lot. She frequently sat together with me or on my feet when I worked. She was so caring and was constantly up for a cuddle, or a cwtch as we state in welsh. She had that ‘animal ability’ to intuitively understand when individuals were down and after that extravagant them with love.
“Meg and I invested a lot time in regional parks walking and playing bring with a ball and thrower. It seemed like we were a group. We invested hours and hours together in training sessions. She was 2-years-old so it looked like we’d simply survive the puppy phase and were truly starting to comprehend each other.”
The speaker then revealed he was away with work when the event taken place so was not able to attend her burial.
He included: “So being away with work when she passed away was so so difficult. I can’t inform you how difficult it’s been. I had a live program to do that night and it was among the most tough things I’ve needed to carry out in my profession. “So, from afar I watched on facetime as my family buried her in our garden. Meg was a beautiful dog. She had a fantastic character. She was a massive part of our family. She has left a hole in our lives. We are all so upset. And I will never forget you Meg.”
Some of Sean’s pals and coworkers used their acknowledgements to the family, with speaker Ben Shephard writing: “Sean I’m so so sorry to [hear] this- sending big love to you all”.
GMB speaker Charlotte Hawkins composed: “Oh no Sean so sad to hear that. Heartbreaking for you all. What a gorgeous dog she was. Sending loads of love to you all xx.”
Meanwhile, Susanna Reid composed: “I am so so sorry Sean – what a lovely dog she was and what an agonizing loss.”
Two years earlier, Sean shared the sad news that their previous dog Mimi had to be put to sleep after having incurable cancer.
At the time, he composed: “We wept a lot I’m uncertain when we stopped. I didn’t understand it’d impact us like that.
“Dogs enter of the family. They are exceptionally devoted buddies, and read your sensations much better than human beings.”
