A video went viral on social media during which a Florida police’s canine grew to become frenzied and jumped out of the 528 Causeway bridge — 75 ft above a river — sending chills to his handler.
The video footage confirmed Deputy Lauren Donaldson and her Okay-9 Zeppelin walking to their automotive after they accomplished a reported felony arrest on high of the bridge.
According to Brevard County Sherriff Wayne Ivey, the canine named Zeppelin tried to climb and soar over the guardrail.
Fortunately, Donaldson gripped the leash and didn’t let the canine fall off the bridge, pulling him over above the 121-mile Indian River.
The deputy was shocked after the incident as she could be heard saying to herself: “No. No!” as she pulled the Belgian Malinois.
The Sherriff wrote in a Facebook publish: “Lauren’s rescue of her beloved companion is much more superb when you think about that Zeppelin, a Belgian Malinois, weighs roughly 75 kilos and Lauren weighs 122 kilos when she is soaking moist and holding a bowling ball, but someway she managed to not panic and pull Zeppelin again to security.”
“Without Lauren’s fast action there is no question that Zeppelin would have fallen approximately 75 feet into the Indian River and most likely to his death,” the Sherriff famous on the publish.
He expressed that he was grateful that the canine was unhurt regardless of giving chills.
According to Sherriff Ivey, Donaldson and her Okay-9 companion are two-time reigning champions within the “Hardest Hitting Okay-9 class of the Space Coast Okay-9 Competition.”
