A dog was rescued from a 600ft cliff edge in the Highlands by mountain rescuers through her GPS tracking collar.
Chinook, who is referred to as a “wolfdog”, ended up being separated from her owners and was discovered stuck on a little ledge near the top of Am Bodach on Wednesday.
Her owner, Hollie Ivy, called Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, who released seven-strong rescue group to the help of the stricken animal.
By following the GPS collar that was connected to Chinook, the group had the ability to find her and ran a lower and a haul prior to walking the dog down the remainder of the hill.
The animal was discovered to be unscathed when she was lastly reunited with her anxious owners.
A representative for Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team said: “GMRT was asked for to go to after a dog ended up being separated from its owners and ended up being stuck on a little ledge near the top of Am Bodach.
“Fortunately the dog’s owners had a GPS tracking gadget for the dog so it was quickly situated.
“Team members had to do a lower and then a haul to get the animal into a position where they could walk the thankfully uninjured dog off the hill to be reunited with its owners.”
Hollie explained the rescue group as “legends” as she revealed her appreciation. She has actually given that released a GoFundMe with all the money raised going towards Glencoe Mountain Rescue.
She said: “‘I’m setting this up as a thank you to the guys and ladies who got my lady back to me secure, and to help them have more of what they require to help others …canine or human alike.
“There are no words that express how grateful I am she is back in the passenger seat right next to me today. Legends.”
