WASHINGTON COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT/Gray News) – Wrigley, a canine who escaped Friday throughout a twister, was reunited together with his proprietor.
Wrigley’s proprietor, Gina Volonec, mentioned as a twister approached their home, her husband rushed home to safe the household pets.
“He came home to get the animals down to the basement and he got the cats in there,” she mentioned. “Wrigley was down there but he got spooked and ran back up the stairs before David could grab him.”
There was no time to chase Wrigley, however he ended up with a neighbor’s pet named Buddy.
Searchers discovered paw prints indicating each dogs spent the evening alongside a wooded ridge about half a mile from their houses.
“They were together, and they don’t like each other,” Volonec mentioned.
Volonec mentioned she thought Wrigley was “gone forever.”
“Don’t you dare leave me again,” she mentioned.
Volonec’s home was one in all a number of destroyed after a twister hit the world.
