A spaniel needed to be rescued after spending the evening down a 3m (10ft) gap he tumbled into.
Benni turned caught after slipping via a 30cm (11in) hole within the floor.
The gap was so small that cave rescuers had to make use of chisels and drills to achieve him.
But after a four-hour operation, Benni was efficiently introduced again to the floor – the place he was mentioned to be “ecstatic”.
South and Mid Wales Cave Rescue mentioned that after an evening underground in near-freezing temperatures, Benni confronted additional bother – he desperately wanted a shower.
Rescuer Dan Thorne mentioned: “Benni was chilly and drained however when he obtained out he forgot all about that, he was ecstatic.
“He wrapped up in a blanket, had some water and he was completely completely happy.”
The alarm was raised on Friday night and the restoration started at 05:00 GMT, when the cave rescue crew had been requested to go to Nant-y-moel, in Bridgend county, by firefighters.
Mr Thorne mentioned: “This is one thing we concentrate on – individuals in addition to animals. We by no means need to hear an animal in misery.
“We found the opening was 30cm large on the prime and even our smallest caver could not get down. It was about 3m down.
