A dog owner was left sad after he needed to put his dog down following a supposed dog attack. 

Five-year-old Bailey was assaulted by a group of Pitbull-type dogs on Sunday afternoon whilst at the beach at Blackhall Rocks, near Hartlepool. 

Teeside Live reports that the owner, who wanted to stay confidential, informed of how Bailey was “whipped” in the attack at the location they walk almost every day. 

Her owner explained her as a “mild safe soul” who “didn’t even grumble” as the group assaulted.

The owner said she was too “in shock” to get the other dog owner’s information and took Bailey to the emergency situation veterinarian who said the injuries were “even worse than anticipated”.
