  • A dog left his lawn and diminished I-95 in Philadelphia, bringing traffic to a stop.
  • Enzo led cops on a mile-long foot chase throughout rush-hour traffic on Friday, regional news reports said.
  • He is now home safe and sound with his owner, who says she will get him microchipped.

It ends up you can take the dog out of the streets, however you can’t take the streets out of the dog.

A dog called Enzo showed that when he left his lawn in Philadelphia and went on a doggy joyride — cutting loose and totally free down a hectic highway, requiring the cops to chase him down.

Video of the occurrence demonstrated how Enzo brought I-95 traffic to a stop at 7:20 a.m. on Friday early morning when he weaved through traffic, averting law enforcement officer chasing him on foot, regional ABC affiliate WPVI-TV reported. He even got struck by a truck at one point however leapt right back up and kept running, obviously unfazed.

Leisa Zurbaran, Enzo’s owner, said he left her lawn as she prepared for work.

“All I heard was ‘bang!’ No landing, no barking, no absolutely nothing. I recalled and he was running,” Zurbaran WPVI-TV. “It was traumatizing, I was worried the entire day.”

Zurbaran called the regional animal control and anxiously browsed social networks. She lucked out when somebody sent her a link to a report.

“She revealed me the news, I resembled, ‘I believe that’s my dog,'” Zurbaran informed WPVI. “I entered into the link, there were numerous videos of him and I’m like, ‘Oh yeah that’s my dog.'”

After a chase, Pennsylvania State Police ultimately cornered the dog and brought him to safety, WPVI reported.

They took Enzo to an animal care center in Langhorne, where staff reported Enzo remained in good condition after being taken a look at by a veterinarian.

“He absolutely went through a bit of injury. You can absolutely inform by his body movement, the heavy panting, he’s absolutely still worried,” Angela Carpino, the basic supervisor of Town and Country Pet Care Center, informed WPVI.

Zurbaran informed the outlet she prepares to have Enzo microchipped after the mess.

“I’m quite sure he’s going to sleep like a child tonight,” Zurbaran informed WPVI.
