Birmingham Police Department’s brand-new treatment dog name picked from numerous sent ideas – The Oakland Press

And the winner is…Maple.

After a call just recently headed out to the general public for ideas, Maple is the name picked for the Birmingham Police Department’s brand-new treatment puppy, a Bernese Mountain Dog.

Besides alluring cuteness, Maple’s tasks consist of offering assistance for neighborhood members and workers experiencing tension and stress and anxiety. She’ll  likewise hang out at the Birmingham City Hall where the general public can check out with her.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, numerous name ideas were sent, and a survey was carried out with more than 450 votes prior to “Maple” was picked.

Maple will be participating in training so she’ll remain in and out of the workplace for a while, however she will be all set to fulfill the general public at the city’s Police Open House on July 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. She’ll remain in the car park behind municipal government.
