A 2nd teen has actually been questioned by cops after an image appeared to reveal “a catapult being fired at a cat in Poole”.
The image was spread out everywhere on social networks and the cat did not receive any severe injuries throughout the event which occurred at around 4pm on Thursday, July 13.
On July 15, a 19-year-old man from Ferndown was detained and talked to in connection with the event.
Yesterday (Monday, July 17), a 17-year-old man, not from Poole, was likewise talked to by cops in relation to the supposed offense.
Police state it is being examined as a criminal damage offense, as cats are classified as property in law.

A spokesperson for Poole Police said last night: “The matter is being investigated as a Officers from Poole’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) take such incidents extremely seriously and this matter was dealt with as an NPT priority, utilising both Poole NPT teams to ensure a swift turnaround on this investigation.
“Whilst Poole Police fully appreciate the local communities’ views on matters involving the hurting of animals, particularly people’s pets, we request please that justice is allowed to take its course.
“We are aware of wider threats to the individuals involved. Should wider offences be committed against those involved outside of this investigation, they will be dealt with accordingly.
“The background of this matter will not provide mitigation to unlawful behaviours.
“Poole NPT have this matter very much in hand and a decision will be made shortly based on the available evidence, in line with the full code test from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) guidance.”
