Firefighters pertained to the rescue of the frightened, 10-week-old kitten in Lower Wood, Church Stretton.
A team from the town reacted to calls for help at 2.50pm.
A representative for the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the kitten was caught in between the dash and bulkhead of a car.
“It had actually been stuck for a long while prior to we were called and would not come out on his own being so young and scared,” a representative said.
“We handled to take the control panel apart to develop little pockets so we might reach him. It was a good result in the end for one scared little animal and the owner who was really happy the cat was home.”
The rescue operation took about an hour.
