Days old kittens being cared for on the Human Society of Pierce County and Tacoma
TACOMA, Wash. – Over the weekend, 5 2-day old kittens have been discovered discarded in a cardboard field in Tacoma’s Summit neighborhood, hypothermic and stiff.
The field was found by a young group member who grew involved after seeing the identical field after 24 hours.
“My daughter discovered them within the field, chilly, stiff and lifeless,” says group member Mary Ann Sebastian. “We tried to revive them, and as soon as one confirmed indicators of life, we knew we needed to get them assist instantly.”
The kittens have been taken to the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County for quick medical intervention.
