A Mead man has been arrested and accused of torturing his grandfather’s cat with a cane whereas cat-sitting in Longmont.

Dillon Evans, 23, is going through a felony cost of aggravated cruelty to animals.

According to an affidavit, at 9:30 p.m. Monday, a Longmont man acquired a cellphone name from his daughter who mentioned the person’s 7-year-old cat, Domino, had died.

The man reviewed safety digicam footage from the lounge and noticed that Evans tortured Domino by chasing her across the room and poking her repeatedly with a cane for about an hour. In the footage, Evans is then seen going into one other room and walking out with a field.
