Police in La Villa have actually detained a man who kicked his sweetheart’s cat to death previously this month.

And as they were on their method to detain 33-year-old La Villa homeowner Jose Alfredo Rostro last Thursday after he kicked his sweetheart out, he called Hidalgo County dispatch to declare he had a weapon.

While Rostro did not have a weapon, cops said in a likely cause affidavit that he had an 8-inch knife that had a 5-inch deal with when they detained him following a battle.

La Villa cops detained Rostro after reacting at about 2:33 p.m. to a church situated on the corner of second and Martel Street, according to the affidavit.
