Police in La Villa have actually detained a man who kicked his sweetheart’s cat to death previously this month.
And as they were on their method to detain 33-year-old La Villa homeowner Jose Alfredo Rostro last Thursday after he kicked his sweetheart out, he called Hidalgo County dispatch to declare he had a weapon.
While Rostro did not have a weapon, cops said in a likely cause affidavit that he had an 8-inch knife that had a 5-inch deal with when they detained him following a battle.
La Villa cops detained Rostro after reacting at about 2:33 p.m. to a church situated on the corner of second and Martel Street, according to the affidavit.
This wants his sweetheart called cops to report that he had actually simply kicked her out.
“At this time dispatch relayed that her boyfriend had just called the county and told them that he had a gun,” the affidavit mentioned.
Minutes later on, the sweetheart called cops to state Rostro was walking towards her.
“He was walking very fast with his hands behind his back as Chief F. Ramos also wearing a full police uniform driving a fully marked police unit arrived on scene,” the affidavit mentioned.
La Villa law enforcement officer drew their weapons and bought Rostro to the ground. They state he declined to follow commands, had a hard time and attempted to run prior to being nabbed.
The warrant for his arrest included the death of the cat.
A possible cause affidavit said that occurrence occurred at about 1:50 p.m. on July 9.
That affidavit said that Rostro confessed to kicking the cat more than one time, leading to its death.
Rostro is charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals and withstanding arrest.
He stays imprisoned in the Hidalgo County Adult Detention Center on an overall of $130,000 in bonds.
