SALINA, Utah (KSTU) — An unanticipated relationship established inside the kennels of the Fullmer Menagerie Animal Rescue.

Earlier this month, a worker discovered a kitten defending its life near the Gunnison State Prison.

“This kitten was in the middle of the road,” said Jeannine Fullmer, the creator of the rescue. “People were speeding by it. The kitten was going to get hit.”

The feline called “Skiddy” was rescued and required to the Fullmer center in Salina, Utah.

The rescue promises to cats, dogs, bunnies and ratings of other animals.

To help the rescue grow, Fullmer offers grooming and boarding services to regional animals.

After Skiddy’s painful experience in Gunnison, it’s safe to state she required a friend and she discovered one at the rescue.

She was befriended by “Banana Pudding,” a ferret who likewise got rid of tough situations. “Banana Pudding” was discovered inside a rundown home left in awful conditions.

“Very skinny, very unhealthy and we didn’t know whether it was going to make it,” Fullmer said.

Both survivors now have a 2nd opportunity at life. In the shelter’s kennels, they linked and bonded.

They 2 play together, go after each other and cuddle up together when the lights decrease at night.

“It’s crazy,” Fullmer said. “Who knows what goes on in their heads. It was an instant bond.”

Now both are awaiting brand-new houses and the wait has no time at all limitation as the rescue doesn’t quit on any of the animals in its care.

Some dogs have actually waited months or years to discover a home.

In an ideal world, Fullmer wish to see them embraced together, however she understands that might not be possible.

“I don’t want the kitten to stay here and wait and miss an opportunity to have an incredible home,” she said.

Regardless of the length of time they stay friends, these animals with an extraordinary will to live are revealing the world that relationship can be discovered anywhere.

“You see people together you think that’s an odd match,” Fullmer said, “But it works.”
