Jill Biden to launch youngsters’s ebook about White House cat

First woman Jill Biden will likely be publishing a ebook in regards to the White House cat Willow in June.

Simon & Schuster’s youngsters’s publishing department, Paula Wiseman Books, will publish the primary woman’s ebook. Willow, The White House Cat was coauthored by Alyssa Satin Capucilli and illustrated by Kate Berube.

This will likely be Biden’s third youngsters’s ebook, following Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops and Joey: The Story of Joe Biden. The first woman works as an English professor at Northern Virginia Community College.

“As Willow bounds from room to room, exploring history in her new home, she learns quickly about all of the incredible people who make the ‘People’s House’ run,” Biden mentioned in a press release. “They welcomed Willow with love and care, just as they did Joe and me, the First Families who came before us, and all of the people who step foot into this home.  Making many new friends along the way, Willow’s journey gives the world a ‘cats-eye’ view of all the ins and outs of America’s most famous address.”

The Bidens adopted the short-haired tabby cat from a Pennsylvania farmer. Her identify comes from the primary woman’s hometown of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Biden’s ebook will echo former second woman Karen Pence’s youngsters’s ebook surrounding a day within the lifetime of the Pences’ pet bunny Marlon Bundo, which she illustrated and her daughter Charlotte authored. Marlon Bundo’s Day within the Life of the Vice President went on to print 100,000 copies, based on  Regnery Publishing.

This announcement comes after the primary household was compelled to relocate its German shepherd Commander after two dozen biting incidents. He is in an undisclosed location with members of the family as of final fall.

Commander had undergone coaching, animal behavioralist consultations, and leashing earlier than the Bidens made the choice to relocate him.
