(KNSI) – Some of the 94 cats delivered to the Tri-County Humane Society have already discovered houses.
Police eliminated the cats from a home in Crosby throughout an investigation into animal hoarding. Executive Director Marit Ortega says they turned available for adoption on Wednesday.
“Some of them are still on medical holds. There’s some that are sick that we’re treating and others that still need to be spayed or neutered. But we did have our first Crosby cat adoption yesterday. So, Kramer the cat got home, and we’re super excited for him. We also do have five others with deposits. And we’re accepting other deposits.”
Ortega defined whereas the cats are able to be rehomed, they’re nonetheless discovering some individuals who’ve been lacking their feline associates. “We received an email and a phone call from people in Sartell. They said ‘We think you have our cat,’ and when we received the pictures, it was just without a doubt all of the markings lined up.”
After a six-month hiatus, the cat was reunited with its household final Saturday. No one is aware of how the cat bought from Sartell to Crosby. Another cat was reunited with its household after seven years, due to a microchip.
