Frankie was seen being put in a plastic bag and after that in a wheelie bin in Jeckyll Road at around 5.45pm on Saturday.
A member of the general public got her out of the bin and called Feline Care Cat Rescue.
The charity is hoping doorbell video footage will help recognize the kids who did it and cops have actually been notified.
When she was very first scanned, Feline Care believed her name was Cleo as her microchip had actually not been upgraded.

Her chip, which was implanted in 2001, had actually moved to her elbow and the veterinarian could not find it.
She was then discovered to be signed up to an address in Horsford, enabling her to be reunited with her owners.
It is unidentified how the feline took a trip the 15 miles from Horsford to Wymondham.

Her family embraced her in 2006 after a neighbour moved and left her behind, relabeling her Frankie.
They were surprised to discover she was years older than they believed.
Her family said: “We are so delighted to have her home, she is leaping from lap to lap getting all the difficulty she can.
“She is presently resting on my lap on the ‘Frankie blankie’ as we call it.”
