A man implicated of breaking into a South City home while its owners were away on holiday produced more work than the cat caretaker registered for after it took the SWAT group to eliminate the man who supposedly triggered around $20,000 in damage to the home, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Levi Joe Smith, 43, of Forestville, is implicated of breaking into a home in South San Francisco Saturday, July 15, after the house owner’s cat caretaker discovered Forestville inside the home. He supposedly informed the caretaker she was at the incorrect home and he lived there. The caretaker called the property owners, who were on holiday, and they called the authorities.
When authorities got here, they found somebody had actually required entry at the back of the home, they called the landline and Forestville supposedly responded to offering an incorrect name. When asked to come out of the residence, he supposedly was displaying a knife and threatened to eliminate the officers, which led to a two-hour standoff, according to the DA’s Office.
On Monday, July 17, Forestville declined to leave his prison cell for court, and after that declined to come to court the next day. The court continued without him and his lawyer pleaded innocent. He go back to court July 31, and stays in custody on $75,000 bail. If founded guilty Forestville might dish out to 8 years in state jail, according to the DA’s Office.
