Cheyenne Animal Control is advising folks to inspect their grills prior to shooting them up after conserving a mother cat and her kittens from being barbequed.
According to a news release, Animal Control officers were called out around 8 a.m. today, July 18, after a feral cat and her 3 1-week-old kittens got caught in a person’s bbq grill.
The 4 felines were securely consisted of and required to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
“This stroke of good luck for the ungrilled kittens is a fantastic tip to regularly inspect little, restricted areas around your houses and cars,” said Animal Control Supervisor Officer Elizabeth Wagner.
To help keep little animals safe, Wagner recommends you knock on your vehicle’s hood prior to beginning your vehicle, cover the window wells around your home, and specifically inspect your grills to ensure they’re critter-free prior to beginning them.
