Sofia, March 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) has reported an outbreak of the extremely pathogenic fowl flu at an industrial farm.
The virus was detected on a farm with 86,000 laying hens close to the village of Tsalapitsa, almost 130 km southeast of the capital Sofia, the company stated on Thursday in a press release.
In order to include the illness and stop its unfold, the contaminated birds and people in contact with them on the farm could be culled, the BFSA added as quoted by Xinhua information company report.
According to the company’s web site, this was the eighth fowl flu outbreak at an industrial farm in Bulgaria this yr.
