It’s time once again to start the procedure of selecting 2 brand-new animal stars to go on cans of the Charleston Animal Society’s yearly Rescue Brew.
Nominations are now open for 2023 spokescat and 2023 spokesdog in the regional not-for-profit’s 4th yearly Rescue Brew Beer contest. To participate this year, send an image of your animal to CharlestonAnimalSociety.org/RescueBrew and overview why your animal is worthy of to win prior to elections close Aug. 14. Nominations, which cost $10 each, help to support the society’s large variety of programs.
Pet owners got in more than 700 dogs and cats in in 2015’s contest. The winning spokescat and spokesdog will appear on cans of 2023 Rescue Brew Beer by Palmetto Brewing Company.
Voting begins Aug. 15
Starting Aug. 15, individuals can vote at $1 per tally for their favorites through Sept. 14. The leading 3 vote-getters for cats and dogs will be called finalists and a panel of judges from sponsors will choose the winners in each classification.
Charleston Animal Society will reveal winners in October and the 2023 Rescue Brew Beer will be available in the fall, in the nick of time for the vacations.
