“We got an amazing donation from Pimp my Pup who donated 15 blankets. Between using Wallet doc, Yoco machine and standing in front of Tiberius on Friday afternoons, we raised money for over 434 blankets. I went to Game in Rosebank and bought all their blankets and they had to get more from another one of their stores which was amazing,” Berman said.
Lee Romalho from Dogs Trust said they’re a shelter rehab centre and likewise do outreach in Diepsloot. “We get surrendered abused, neglected dogs from Diepsloot which we rehabilitate and rehome. We also go to Diepsloot every day and we medicate, feed, give shelter, blankets,” Romalho said.
She included that on a typical month, they feed about a lots of food to the dogs in between Diepsloot and their shelter. Romalho said they’re constantly in requirement of blankets, kennels and more.
