The Alpine Rescue Team saved a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle called Zola on Sunday after the puppy fell from Torreys Peak
A rescue group sprang into action after a puppy fell off the east side of Torreys Peak in Colorado on Sunday.
The Alpine Rescue Team received a call about the dog in requirement previously today. The group was informed that a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle called Zola had actually dropped Torreys Peak, and the animal’s owners, who were with the dog at the time of the mishap, were not sure if the canine endured the fall.
Alpine Rescue Team representative Jake Smith informed VailDaily that the side of the mountain that the dog toppled down was “quite large.” Torreys Peak has a 14,267-foot top.

Seven volunteers invested 8 hours locating the Zola, ultimately identifying her with field glasses stuck on the face of the mountain.

The puppy supposedly had some abrasions and would not walk on her back leg after the fall, however is otherwise unhurt after the frightening plunge.
“She was so mellow for us,” Smith said of Zola. “She was so sweet. She simply beinged in a knapsack. We attempted to get her some water, and we had some snacks with us since she had actually been there for almost 8 hours at that point. She was simply very exhausted and very relieved.”
